CST CEO launches cooperation with leaders of EU education in cybersecurity.
During meetings in Brussels, on 8th and 9th September, the Cyber Security Training Centre of Excellence presented a proposal for cooperation with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), an EU institution reporting to European External Action Service (EEAS)

CST COE’s Director, Paweł DZIUBA, visited Brussels on 8th and 9th September. At the invitation of Dirk Dubois, the Dircector of ESDC, he participated in the meeting of Cyber Executive Academic Board (13th EAB.CYBER) and the meeting of Executive Academic Plenary Board (EAB.PLENARY).

The invitation was an outcome of a working relationship that begun in May this year during an online meeting with ESDC representatives. Cyber Security Training Centre of Excellence - ONLINE MEETING WITH EUROPEAN SECURITY AND DEFENCE COLLEGE (ESDC) (cstcoe.mil.pl)

On 8th September, during 13th EAB.CYBER meeting chaired by Prof. Stavros STAVROU the participants learned about organisational aspects of CST COE operation. The presentation also included information about our training potential and training offer prepared for our EU partners. Additionally, we outlined possible areas of cooperation and CST COE’s laboratory infrastructure capabilities. Upon completing the presentation we answered a range of questions. Finally, EAB.CYBER accepted the recommendation for inclusion of CST COE among institutions cooperating with ESDC.

Subsequently, there was a working meeting participated by CST COE’s Director, Paweł DZIUBA, and ESDC’s Director, Dirk DUBOIS, during which they discussed organizational issues and possible areas of cooperation in the area of CST COE’s training provision.

On 9th September, there was an ESDC plenary meeting (EAB.PLENARY). Its agenda included a discussion over a proposal to include CST COE in the network of institutions cooperating with the European Security and Defence College. The intent to be formally granted a status of institution cooperating with ESDC was presented by CST COE’S Director. Following that, EAB.PLENARY accepted the proposal for cooperation in accordance with the recommendation made by 13th EAB.CYBER. It is expected the proposal accepted at the meeting be approved during the next ESDC Steering Committee’s meeting.
